News from the Infirmary
Brave Peter
»I'm Peter and am meanwhile a handsome field hare. When I was just a few weeks old, my mama was shot by a hunter. In any case, she didn't come again. Animal-loving people first observed me for a long time to see if she really wouldn't come again – and then they took me home. Now I'm big and can go into the free nature. But before that, I spent some time at the infirmary on the Land of Peace. Since everything was okey with me, I could quickly go into the free nature. I'm so happy!«
Escape from Death
Just imagine! I was nearly killed before I even saw the light of the world. My mama belonged to a flock of sheep that was supposed to be slaughtered - with me in her belly. Luckily, they were rescued and brought to the Land of Peace. I was born there a few days after they arrived. My name is Askari« »I'm Healthy Again!«
»My name is Titus. I once came to the Land of Peace as a foundling, weighing barely a few hundred grams. I've been living here for some time already. Recently my back was severely wounded. It became infected and festered and hurt terribly. So I moved into a "patient's room" on the Land of Peace. The veterinarian came regularly; the animal keepers took over caring for the wound. Now everything has healed well.« Belly Flop with Consequences...
»My name is Phillip. My first attempt at flying as a little great spotted woodpecker wasn't exactly a great success. I belly flopped. But as if that wasn't enough, I fell right into a cat's mouth. With much luck and because a two-legged creature was on the spot, I survived. But my wing was injured. It was x-rayed, splitted and bound, so that it would heal well. I'll soon be able to be free. Next time I'll be more careful practicing flying ... A Heartfelt Thanks!»A heartfelt thanks from all of us animals to all those who through their gifts from the heart make possible the care and keep of animals in need!«
