School Children Explore Nature
School children and project groups from a wide variety of schools use the land of peace for exploring nature and watching the animals. With teachers, animal keepers and botanists, they learn about the native plants and animals and get a look into the processes in nature that most children today no longer have. What do these visits in nature accomplish on the land of peace?
Exploratory walks with the well-known inventor of the Benjes-hedges, Heinrich Benjes, are often on the program. The former gardener, teacher and author shows alert children’s eyes, that inconspicuous plants are also important in the ecological cycle. He can tell a story about every kind of tree or plant. The land of peace as a point of attraction for children in school and project groups.
